Just wasn't too happy with the new Node operation overall. :) Our little patchwork will continue to work for us. I also have the #1 preset on the RC-1 set to do the same, just in case. This is what I've personally done with the LG power button (so it does it when we turn the TV off but that's never a problem since we're in the controller if we want to listen to music anyhow. Volume changed would creep and then suddenly jump.Īll that said, I'm resigned to using the RC-1 remote and a few IR learning functions with my others.įor what it's worth, you too could program IR learning and map the source switch to HDMI-ARC the power signal for set-top box. the optical from my LG tv was at least 50% lower. Even using it just as I did the 2i, via optical input, I couldn't get a level sound out of it, e.g. It seems to have a other changes to the preamp and different portions of the chain. I did not care for the new DAC in my system - was a bit brittle - but that could have been remedied. I just spent 3-4 hours with the most recent Node (which I picked up specifically for the new eARC/HDMI functionality) and finally unplugged it and put my Node2i back in place. So when this happens, I will have to manually select the HDMI preset on the app or by pressing the top screen for the speakers to play what’s on TV.Īt the same time, the mute symbol keeps flashing on the LG TV, and the only way to turn this off is to keep pressing volume down on LG remote. Instead music stops as mentioned, and the blue light on the node keeps flashing, but no TV sound from the speakers. Once I turn on the set top box (and the TV comes on also) the streaming music stops, however the HDMI preset is not activated, or it seems so. In the past, while I was streaming music via Tidal connect, I was able to turn on the Foxtel set top box and LG TV, and the HDMI preset would automatically activate and sound played through speakers. I have the HDMI eARC Auto Sense to “on” in the settings. I am either using the Node for streaming music (TIDAL Connect) or watching TV (Foxtel set top box) via the HDMI eARC. I have a Node connected to Hegel integrated amplifier via coax and HDMI eARC to LG TV.
